With surveys out (and a little over half of them already completed and returned) I’m about to begin taking counts to send over to the printers.

This means that if you've filled out your survey, your order is about to become “locked” on BackerKit. At that point, you won’t be able to add new items to your order or change the information that you’ve provided, so if you’ve already submitted your survey, make sure everything is good to go!

If you haven’t filled out your survey yet- don’t worry! I’ll still be counting your rewards in the numbers that I give to the printer, and you’ll still be getting all of the rewards from your Kickstarter pledge once your survey has been completed and the rewards are ready to be mailed out. The downside is that any additional add-ons will have a limited stock once orders begin getting locked and final numbers are being provided to the printer- so if you’re thinking maybe you want to pick up some extras after all, time is running out!

With the holiday season coming up, and a few backers having reached out to me with this concern, I thought it would be better to lock orders and charge cards for shipping sooner rather than later. This way no one has to worry about a charge from BackerKit suddenly being pulled weeks after they finished their survey.

If you’ve already filled out your survey, you should be getting a notification from BackerKit next week that you order is going to be locked soon. After 48 hours, those orders will be automatically locked, and shortly after your card will be charged for shipping and any add-ons purchased through BackerKit.

If you haven’t filled out your survey quite yet, don’t forget about it! Your survey is how your shipping address and payment are both collected! That means if you want your rewards for pledging to this campaign, you need to fill it out!

Surveys can often get filtered into spam, so if you haven’t seen it in your inbox yet, check there! If it isn’t there either, just send me a message here on Kickstarter and I’ll make sure it gets to you!

Check Your Inbox for Your Survey!
over 2 years ago – Wed, Nov 29, 2023 at 11:04:28 AM

By now, everyone should have received their survey for this campaign, so check your inbox (or spam folder) for an e-mail from BackerKit!

If you are new to supporting a crowdfunding campaign and aren’t familiar with BackerKit or surveys: “surveys” are how shipping information and payment are being collected! You’ve already paid for your rewards (the 2nd Edition Ink Witch Tarot and maybe a few other things) but now it’s time to collect shipping. You should now have received an e-mail from BackerKit asking you to fill out a survey which will collect all of the necessary information needed for you to receive your rewards. For most backers, this will simply be a shipping address and payment info.

It’s really important that you fill this out!

Without the information and shipping fees collected in this survey, there’s no way for me to send you your rewards, and while I’d appreciate the donation to this project-I really want to send you your stuff!

A few other important things to keep in mind:

BackerKit and Apple ID don’t work well together. If you missed all of the warnings I’ve tried to give everyone and backed this project using an Apple ID, you may not have received your survey! (That’s okay, just send me a private message with the e-mail address you’d like your survey to be sent to and I’ll fix it.)

Shipping fees will be collected when you fill out your survey. These fees are based on USPS shipping estimates for the combined weight of your rewards, and the location they’re being shipped to.

However, backers who live outside the US will want to keep in mind that these fees don’t include possible customs fees that may be required upon receipt of the shipment. Please note that after rewards have shipped, they are the responsibility of the backer. Post offices will usually only hold your mail for a limited amount of time if they require you to pick up your parcels up in person until additional customs are paid. If you do not pick up the package within the time frame, your local postal authority will return the package to its place of origin, or it may become lost altogether. Because the production of your rewards depends completely on this campaign meeting its monetary goals, rewards cannot be refunded or replaced, so please be certain you’re keeping an eye out for updates regarding shipping and tracking once your survey has been filled out.

Production is set to begin next month, and I’m still optimistic that our goal of getting these decks shipped to backers by February is achievable!

Please keep your eyes open for future updates so that you don’t miss anything important!

A big update this time: Surveys are on the way!
over 2 years ago – Mon, Nov 27, 2023 at 02:25:07 PM

To help prevent any issues as this process unfolds, BackerKit starts by releasing only a few surveys at first. This way, if something is confusing to backers or needs adjustment, it can be changed before all of the surveys have been sent.

This means that while surveys are coming to your inbox soon, you might not see yours for a few days still. Keep an eye out for an e-mail from BackerKit and get ahold of me or BackerKit if you don’t see that survey within a week or so.

Also be sure to keep an eye out for future updates here on KickStarter! I’ll be posting updates once all of the surveys have been delivered, as well as once production on the deck begins to advance.

A few very important reminders that you may have heard already but might consider double checking:

BackerKit and AppleID don’t work together well, so please make sure you have your e-mail address connected to your pledge. If you didn’t see this heads up during the campaign or can’t check/change your e-mail now, just try to stay aware of updates here! I’ll let everyone know when surveys are being sent, and you can let me know if you don’t receive one at that time so that I can send it manually.

Shipping will be collected when you fill out your survey and are based on estimates made with the USPS. If you need a little time to budget for shipping before you fill out your survey, feel free to take your time, but try to get everything taken care of before February so that you can receive your rewards.

For Backers outside of the US, please note that while shipping costs are going to be based off of the weight and size of your rewards and the location they’re being shipped to, these calculations don’t include any import taxes that might be required of you by local customs authorities upon receipt of your rewards. If you’re someone who likes to do your budgeting well ahead of time, this information might be useful to know now, as opposed to when your rewards are being shipped.

And finally, as always, thank you all so much for your support and patience as things begin to develop!

While You're Waiting For Your Survey...
over 2 years ago – Fri, Nov 17, 2023 at 09:53:20 AM

Hi everyone!

Some gears are beginning to turn as funds have been collected by Kickstarter and things over on BackerKit are nearly done being set up.

What this means for you all is that you can expect to receive a survey from BackerKit in the next few weeks! - I’ll be sharing another update once they’ve been sent out so that you can make sure you’ve found yours!

Surveys will mostly function as a way of collecting shipping information and payments. If you signed up for the Wholesale tier, you will also be asked to answer a few questions about your business.

There are a few important reminders to keep in mind while waiting on your survey to arrive:

For people who aren’t familiar with BackerKit- it’s a separate company from Kickstarter that works to make fulfilling crowdfunding rewards a little easier. I mention this only so that you know you’ll be on the lookout for e-mails from BackerKit regarding your rewards (but it’s still a good idea to keep an eye any e-mails form Kickstarter as well)

Things are all still on track for rewards to be getting shipped out in February of 2024, but I know that it can feel like it takes a long while for each step of this process to advance, so I appreciate you all waiting patiently with me!

Pre-Orders Are Now Open!
over 2 years ago – Mon, Nov 06, 2023 at 09:44:19 AM

Today I have just a quick announcement regarding new Second Edition Ink Witch Tarot Deck:

There’s now a pre-order store hosted by BackerKit where you can pre-order the deck and all of the add-ons! If you missed the campaign, or are wishing you had picked up some of my other work with your pledge, you can now follow this link to the pre-order store and place an order for anything you might have missed.

Surveys are expected to be sent out in the next few weeks- so keep an eye on your inbox for those! You’ll have another option to add-on items from the pre-order store at that time as well.

Things may continue to be a little quiet around here as Kickstarter continues to collect payments. Once they’ve been transferred to me, I’ll be able to pay BackerKit’s fee and get started on the surveys- so expect that to be the topic of the next update here in a couple of weeks!
