On to the Second Week!

The first week of the campaign is over and the deck is now just over 200% funded! 

I am thrilled at the success of this project so far, and both flattered and honored at everyone’s very generous support! I would say that I feel like I’m a bit at a loss for words, but I actually have a lot to say!

First of all! If you haven’t seen my previous update, we’ve already blown past our first two stretch goals! All backers will now receive a 5x7 inch art print of the deck’s unique “The Witch” card. Additionally, all copies of the base deck will now include an extra version of “The Witch” card featuring some alternate artwork!

I’ve also added a new $5 reward tier called the “Friendly Support” tier, which is mostly for backers who don’t necessarily want a copy of the new deck, but would like the new thank-you art print- or would like to support the campaign by purchasing some of the work I have available as add-ons, like the Endless Oracle Deck, or the First Edition of the Ink Witch Tarot Deck.

Now that we’ve reach the second week of the campaign, and the deck has reached a big funding milestone, I’m also unveiling some new stretch goals! I have three stretch goals planned that all revolve around upgrades for the keyword reference sheet that will be included with the deck! We’ve actually already reached the first one- which will be to add some reversed meanings to the reference sheet. 

Keep an eye out for future updates about possible stretch goal achievements as the projects moves into its second week, and again, thank you for all of your support so far!

Stretch Goal Update!

Since the campaign funded on the first of the month, we’ve reached not one, but two stretch goals that I had set for this campaign! 

It’s so nice to be able to add a few extra little additions to the deck thanks to everyone’s generous support- so thank you once again for helping to make this a reality!

The first of these goals was to reach $17,000 worth of funding and give all backers an art print with their rewards! This 5x7 inch art print of the deck’s new card “The Witch,” will also include a thank-you message and signature on the back.

Speaking of the Witch card, the second stretch goal I had in place was to add an additional, alternate version of the Witch to the deck at $20,000 worth of funding! 

When first creating this card, I actually created two similar designs, and went with my favorite of the two. However, I did still really love my alternate version of the Witch card. This extra funding allows for me to include the alternate version in the deck as well, meaning the base deck will now include a total of 86 cards.

You don’t need to do anything with your pledge to receive these new rewards! 

The project simply now has more funding than was necessary to pull of my original vision for the deck, and these extra rewards are simply a way of sharing that success and investing it back into the project.

I have plans for a few more stretch goals which I’ve yet to reveal, so keep an eye out soon for future updates on those coming in the near future!

Before I say anything else, let me just begin by saying “thank you!”

From the bottom of my heart, it really means so much to me to have everyone’s support on a project that is so near and dear to me. It’s been just over 24 hours now, and we’ve exceeded the goal we needed to reach in order for the new edition of the Ink Witch deck to become a reality! We are also quickly approaching our first stretch goals!

This update is mostly just to say thank you for a great first day! However I do have a few small things to share!

First and foremost, I’ve added some new(ish) add-on’s due to popular demand.

If you’ve checked out the optional add-ons that you can include with your rewards, you may have noticed an Endless Oracle Deck “expansion bundle.” A handful of people have asked for the option of ordering the expansions in that bundle individually! I had originally not included this option just to avoid any confusion that the bundle might be something separate from its individual components. However, I’ve gone ahead an included them now thanks to your requests.

That being said- please be aware that the two new add-ons are included in the “Endless Oracle Expansion Pack Bundle” item at a discount. These are the same items, so if you order the bundle, there’s no need to purchase the individual expansions!

Finally, I thought it might be fun to take a moment to share an old picture I have the Ink Witch’s “The Fool” card. 

Ink Witch started out almost six years ago as an art challenge. I was planning to illustrate the major arcana of a tarot deck in my own style, with no plans to ever actually print that tarot deck. Back then, it was just a fun art challenge for the month of October, and could never have imagined making a physical printed deck of cards let alone what that deck might become years later.

This is the first picture that I ever took of my original fool illustration- the first of the cards I designed for that art challenge six years ago.
